Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram, also known as Wat Phra Khao, features a large white Buddha statue in the Pang Prathanporn posture named “Phra Sakol Si Mamuang Khon,” commonly referred to by locals as “Luang Pho Khao.” This Buddha statue is made of reinforced concrete and is situated on a mountain peak, 112 meters above the ground. Additionally, there are 1,250 steps leading up to the statue, symbolizing the number of monks who gathered spontaneously on Magha Puja Day.
